The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for individuals who are eager to launch their careers in technology and embrace challenges with enthusiasm. Our teaching approach ensures you develop mastery in software development, guiding you from foundational concepts to interesting coding challenges. You’ll also grow spiritually, deepening your understanding of Christian principles and learning how to live them out in the workplace.

Course Structure

Theory, practice, and real workplace experience woven into one qualification. In 18 months, learners move from foundational computing logic into a live placement at a South African tech company. Through hands-on coding, cloud, and app-building, they will apply all their skills to a real capstone project. The entire programme is mentorship-guided and paced so each stage earns the next.

What graduates walk away with

A working software solution they designed, built, and deployed themselves — plus workplace experience inside an actual South African tech company, not a simulation. Along the way they've built fluency in Python, SQL, HTML5 and modern frameworks, cloud deployment, UML modelling, and data visualisation, backed by a portfolio of real projects. They leave able to contribute from day one as a junior developer on any team.

What sets it apart

  • Theory that earns its keep — every knowledge module (computing systems, algorithms, SDLC, ethics and governance) exists to be immediately applied, not memorised for its own sake.

  • Real workplace, not a case study — the work experience component places learners inside an actual South African tech company, working real technical requirements through to a deployed capstone.

  • Full-stack by design — Python, SQL, cloud automation, HTML5/frameworks, and mobile/web/desktop builds all sit inside one coherent qualification, not scattered electives.

  • Purpose alongside practice — governance, ethics, POPIA compliance, and design thinking are built into the curriculum, not bolted on.

  • Connected to industry — mentorship and workplace placement are tied to Africa's growing tech sector, so learners are building toward a market that's actually hiring.

How learners are assessed

  • Formative work (weekly coding challenges, quizzes, and mini-projects) gives ongoing feedback

  • Summative assessments (end-of-module projects and written evaluations) test real application at each stage

  • Final capstone project (design, build, test, and present as a portfolio defence) proving how it all comes together

  • EISA external exam upon successful completion of the programme, each student must write and pass the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) exam in order to obtain certification
